These photos show the initial cabinet construction from 3/4" standard MDF - a much more denser, inert material than the original kits used. Due to the difference in material thicknesses, the original interior dimensions were used, keeping the cabinet volume constant. PVA glue was used for all joints, followed by elastomeric caulking to further seal the joints. The result is a rigid, nail-free, and deceptively heavy enclosure.
